A 100-year history
Back in 1889, Antonio Bellia, the founder of the company, was born. After the First World War, Antonio devoted himself to various agricultural crops and in 1923 his eldest son Elia was born, who continued to work in the agricultural sector.
Elia & Lucia
Elia, a Second World War veteran, also worked for a few years in the wine sector in the Meolo area, in the province of Venice, and returned to his home town, Scorzè, in 1969.
The family-run farm with his wife Lucia, daughter Graziella and son Claudio focused on the production of vegetables, especially red radicchio.
In 1990, Elia left the management of the company to his son Claudio due to reaching working age.
Certified Products
Bellia Claudio has been focusing on quality local production for years, which is why it has invested heavily in Protected Geographical Identification certifications for Treviso Red Radicchio and Variegated of Castelfranco since 1997, and for Asparagus of Badoere since 2008.
In 2015, it also obtained the important Global G.A.P. certification for its radicchio production, testifying to its high quality requirements.
The Azienda Agricola Bellia Claudio currently specialises mainly in Radicchio Rosso di Treviso PGI late and early and in Cabbage.

Damiano and Francesco, sons of Claudio Bellia, are the designated heirs who continue to mark the history of the company, precisely since 2009.
Damiano is in charge of sales for both large-scale distribution and export. Francesco, on the other hand, oversees production, putting into practice the experience gained from his ancestors and the skills acquired in the field. He is always in continuous training to implement efficient systems and constantly improve the productivity flow. He also gives strong support to the network of affiliated and non-affiliated farmers.
